MT-KOMEX – Generating clean energy by building solar power plants
The MT-KOMEX Company, a pioneer in the construction of solar power plants in Serbia, has built and delivered equipment for 180 ground and roof solar power plants, with a total installed power of 60MW, during three decades of its business.
In early April, the company commissioned the largest solar power plant in Serbia – DeLasol - which was built on an area spanning 12.5 hectares and consists of as many as 17,980 state-of-the-art solar panels.
This power plant's installed power is 11.7 megawatts (MW) and the power it delivers to the national electricity grid amounts to 9.9MW. On an annual basis, the plant will produce 15,000 megawatt-hours of electricity, sufficient for nearly 2,100 households.
Bifacial solar panels were used in the construction of this solar plant, which have the ability to generate electricity from both sides of the panel, which, in turn, generates a larger quantity of electricity. The solar panels are placed on a specially made construction that allows greater absorption of reflected radiation.
8.9 million euros were invested in the DeLasol solar power plant. Our experts and domestic companies should be credited for this project - from the initial idea and plant design to construction.
This power plant will make a great contribution to the Serbian energy grid and it will reduce CO2 emissions by more than 11,000 tonnes annually, as well as contribute to the overall improvement and progress of environmental protection.
Sunshine, that is, insolation in Serbia is 30 to 40 percent higher than in Germany, a country that is considered one of the European leaders in the production of solar energy. However, the potential for the construction of solar capacities in Serbia has not been fully utilized yet. The adoption of the Renewable Energy Sources Law made it possible to increase the share of RES in domestic energy production. Thanks to this, MT-KOMEX's team of experts has their hands full.
Our hardworking staff, which is over 130 engineers and installers, are in charge of implementing new business segments on the domestic market, and they regularly attend specially prepared training sessions and possess all the required certificates.
What sets our company apart is the readiness to give our clients full support in all project phases at all times - from the development stage to drafting the required technical documentation and obtaining a use permit, on a turnkey basis.
